Lost

Luke Chapter 15: Tax collectors and sinners were drawn to Christ to hear what he had to say. There wasn’t anybody religious there. What was it that drew them to listen to Jesus? All men are lost and without hope. Jesus offered them a way to be found. He was looking for them. He said things that got their attention. He just wanted them to get hooked on the “good news”. I need to say things that entice people to hear Christ. My job is just to bring them to Jesus; nurturing them in the faith may or may not be my job. Some plant, some water, and others take care of and reap the harvest. But we all should pursue and persuade the lost to look for their answers to life’s questions in Jesus Christ. And when they are found, celebrate and rejoice just as the angels in heaven do.

IQ

As we fight about whether refugees should be taken into our country no one offers any insight into what the end result looks like. The conversation is always about “equality” and never mind that they are mostly young men, or that they have no intention of assimilating to our way of life. However there is an insidious outcome that most are not even aware of except the Democratic Party who need these people as voters/rioters and that is the IQ of the typical refugee. The average Syrian has an IQ of 83. Mid Eastern countries are overloaded with people of low IQ or put another way, people with no ability to do the basic jobs available in America. As raising the minimum wage seems to be currently in vogue even the American worker with an IQ of 100+ is in jeopardy of losing their jobs because technology is making it possible for employers to use robots in place of low skill workers. Now imagine a work force with an average IQ of 83 or less trying to compete for a job. Is there any way they can be worth ten to fifteen dollars an hour? The cold hard fact is no they are not. This means the bulk of immigrants are unable to support themselves. When the country runs out of gravy people feeding off the system of government authorized theft will revert to plain old fashioned stealing. This isn’t going to be pretty. My temporary solution is to send all refugees to California. Thirty percent of the state is on welfare, the economy is booming, so why not give lefties what they want? The land of fruit and nuts might as well be the first state to succumb to the third world chaos.

See No Evil

My atheist brother-in-law told me that there was no such thing as evil. They see no evil or hear no evil. That is why they and their heroes can do no wrong. The end will always justify the means. An atheist has only one thing to believe in and that is the goodness of man (himself) and by extension, the good intentions of the state. It is obvious if one looks at history or the current conditions of the world that the goodness of man, especially in government, is something one can’t put any confidence in. Atheists are arrogant self-righteous people. Without realizing it they believe the lie put in the ear of Eve that being that the individual can know what good is. They decide what is right and good. They become dangerous leaders. The recent Paris Climate agreement is an example. The leadership of the whole world believes man can save the planet for the next generation; at least that’s what they tell us. Somehow they conveniently ignore the real problems of the world the least of which is the imminent possibility of nuclear war. It’s easy for politicians to get on board with another scam to control people. The United Nations elected Saudi Arabia to their commission on the status of women. Really? The Kool Aid must be in the vending machines. These are just two glaring examples of the “goodness” of men. If there is no evil then they don’t have to depart from it (Psalm 34:14). John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. They may not think they are evil but God disagrees. Just before the return of our Savior it will be like the days of Noah. And for a second time God will pour His wrath upon the earth. Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. With technology we have multiplied the ability of man to imagine all sorts of wicked behavior. Jesus said the times of the end would be unlike any other and part of that is the ability of evil to reign in the hearts of all people except the very elect. Men are falling for the deception that they don’t need a savior; they can save themselves; they are good people. They are fools and fools think and do foolish things.

Fisherman

Some of the followers of Christ were fisherman. Jesus called various others but fisherman were important for teaching the basic responsibility of a Christian. There are many ways to judge ourselves as to whether we are doing the work of Christ but fishing is probably the final question on the exam. Jesus said “I will make you fishers of men”. Of all the things we could ask ourselves, it all boils down to this one test. Have we become fishers of men? Jesus came to save the lost. He wasn’t willing that any should perish. That’s how we’re supposed to think. I don’t know much about fishing but the experts can tell us what to do and the same rules can be followed when fishing for men. Your fishing gear should be simple. Don’t complicate a message that’s easy to understand. Use the right bait. People are attracted to different words. They have different needs. Think before you put your bait out there. Don’t hold the bait too tightly. Put a little slack in the line. By listening you discover which hook to use. Probably something I should have mentioned first: are you going to the right fishing hole? No need to cast your net where there are no fish or as scripture puts it, casting pearls before swine. Then comes the biggest challenge for the fisherman: patience. They may not bite that day. And it may well be that you will catch a fish you had no intention of catching. Happy fishing!
