Hacks

The DNC claim their system was hacked by those nasty Russians. The FBI has demanded they turn over their computers. Of course Democrats don’t have to do anything they don’t want to do so they won’t do it; they are above the law and their honesty and ethics are beyond reproach. Yah, right.

The Wicked Witch of the West erased thirty three thousand emails, destroyed laptops, scrubbed servers, and none of that is of any concern to anybody. But hey, a few emails between Donald Trump Jr. and Russians, this deserves the heavy scrutiny of a special prosecutor. Never mind that Democrats had met with the same “dangerous” Russians. A year of investigation and there is no evidence at all, only the suspicions of hypocritical crooks. The people making these false allegations are the liars we’ve become accustomed to putting up with. To them the constitution of this country must be eliminated to make their tyranny legitimate.

Their supporters are of the same selfish mindset as the Venezuelans who kept Chavez in power. Chavez was adored by the previous administration and Obama thought we should copy their ways. The suffering in Venezuela should offer an opportunity to question and ponder the wisdom of the Democrats who push that despicable agenda.

I think most Americans have their face buried in technology and aren’t able to process any type of critical thinking. Accusations by vipers are an affront to anyone with morals. And therein lies the problem; a country with no morals.

Bruce Jenner

Bruce along with other celebrities are talking about taking the plunge into politics. Hollywood types are usually interested in one thing and that’s advancing the ability of LGBTWXYZ types to legitimize their brand of perversion. It’s likely at least one of them will succeed because all you really need to get elected is name recognition. So we may end up with a parade of theatrical types in political office. In other words pretty much what we have now except with better scripts and makeup.

My Way

Frank Sinatra sang a song that seemed to ring right for a lot of people, that is “I did it my way”. The fact is everyone does it their way. Whether we are kind, thoughtful, and truthful or we’re cruel liars, we do it our way. That is the exact problem we all have. I can say it is true of my life. My way got in the way of doing things in the way God would approve of.

This whole notion that we are smart enough to make it without God is intoxicatingly wrong. We’re addicted to our brilliance. We may have huge success in business, marriage, children, you-name-it but without God it is at best a hollow victory. What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?

Jesus said I am the way. What way? The way to the Father. The Father wanted Jesus to do things His way and He wants us to do the same. Jesus said that knowing God is eternal life. If we’re born again we are children of God. Children don’t get to do whatever they please. They can’t do things their way. Western culture has changed that but that is a fundamental truth.

As we grow in Christ we learn to do things His way. We’re supposed to forget about our way. Adam and Eve did things their way and ever since everyone has decided their way is the best. Sin in simple terms is just doing things our way.

God made everything. We breathe His air and yet we still do not understand who God is or that it is imperative we develop a relationship with Him.

Holding every thought captive before we speak it and prayerfully ponder every decision we make is hard work. But if we are to do things the way He would there is no other option. We must be born again, become a lover of Jesus Christ and then our way becomes His way.

I Forget

All too often I forget that everything including the future is in God’s hands. He has written history in advance so I should remember that the world isn’t going to be this utopia we all long for. The leaders for the most part are godless loons pandering to an ignorant self-centered public; in short a bunch of sinners led by sinners. And as we all know when the blind lead the blind they both fall.

So we do what we can to support each other but we must keep our feet on the ground. I forget sometimes. I shouldn’t let myself get rattled but I’m no different than anyone else. What people do is unsettling. But then I remember. They’re just people, lost people who have no shepherd.

From The Mouth of Babes

My wife, like most people, is on Facebook every day. Today she showed me this video of a five year old black girl talking about the president; she didn’t want Donald Trump to be president. Is this where we are as a nation, pumping up our cute kids to deliver our political message to the world? Shouldn’t we shelter our children from the dirty work of politics? Wouldn’t it be nice if our kids could be innocent for as long as they can? Some don’t have that opportunity I know; but if we are able, shouldn’t we?

I remember our oldest son at seven years old witnessing someone being shot on TV. He literally almost fell over like the guy being shot. We hadn’t realized how much we had kept him from the violence that appeared on that screen daily. It was shocking to him. I wish I could have talked about these things with him first. You don’t know what they see when they are away from you or what they may be subjected to. If their behavior changes, something happened that was hard or difficult for them to deal with. Life goes by fast when you’re raising kids. Sometimes you have to stop and take the time to understand what’s taking place and get help if you don’t know how to deal with it.

I’m just speaking out of experience. Decisions are better when foresight is the day ahead and not twenty years out. We’re always looking at the future long term when in reality it should be planned every day. That’s why scripture says to work while it is still day. You don’t know when the night comes.
