On June 26, 2011, 49-year-old James Craig Anderson was killed in Jackson, Mississippi after being beaten, robbed, and run over. The perpetrators were white teenagers It was a planned assault on a black man. They were charged with a hate crime as it certainly was. They were sentenced accordingly. This last week in Jackson three black teenagers stole a car. A mother had gone into the supermarket at two in the morning and left her car running with her six year old son sleeping in the back seat. Three black teenagers stole that car. It was found some hours later; her son had been shot in the head. Who looks at a six year old and pulls the trigger? It’s the same kind of people that killed James Anderson. It’s that cold, evil person at Planned Parenthood that take a newborn and slices its face open to salvage the brain for research. It’s the one’s who God gives over to a reprobate mind after they’ve relentlessly rejected his grace. It’s all hate crime. There is no love involved in any of these horrendous things that are done. Civility is breaking down worldwide. Truth is becoming a relic of the past. The apostle Paul described the present condition well in Romans 1:21-32. I’ll just quote the last three verses. “Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters , inventers of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
