No Comments Know God or No God
Jesus wondered if there would be any faith when He returned. We’re quickly being thrust into a future of no God. Technology is advancing and what was new becomes outdated rather quickly. Cures for various diseases seem to be imminent. Health challenges are a common reason people seek God. If science becomes our source for answers to our problems, what will we need God for?
We love living well. Who wouldn’t? Jesus said that the poor will always be among us. I take that to mean that not everyone will benefit from the wonders of scientific creation. Granted, we’re making huge progress in helping people out of poverty worldwide, but many are poor because of their own choices in life. I don’t expect drug/alcohol addiction to go away and I don’t expect people to stop hating others. Our medical conditions may change but we are still who we are. We’re sinners.
We’re making the earth a better place to live, at least we think so. Getting back to the words of Jesus about finding faith, I’m thinking that his words were aimed at a particular group and that would be Christians. Many are losing their need and desire for God because of technology.
