The internet has changed all of out lives and we are to the point that we can’t live without it. The problem is it is under assault by the criminal population. Thousands of miscreants occupy cyberspace and many are highly trained in hacking. The military has educated people in clandestine operations and what pray tell can you do with those skills once one leaves the service. Some no doubt put those skills to use meddling in our personal affairs; spell that money. We’ve already seen the world wide attempt to hold people and companies from their files in exchange for a ransom. It will get worse fast. The internet will have to be shut down sometime in the next three years for up to a month while things are sorted out. The new internet will be much different than the old. It will behoove us to take precautions with our banking and retirement accounts. Pencil and paper aren’t dead quite yet.
