We Are Slaves
So much is made of the slave history of the United States. Slavery, although abolished many moons ago, continues to this day. Slavery is defined as either owning someone and their service or placing someone in a position where they are not rewarded in proper remuneration for their work.
Tax Freedom Day this year is April 19. It does vary a little state to state but 29% of your pay goes to the government where incompetent politicians spend it. Of course, they can’t get enough from us so they borrow, borrow, and borrow some more. For this “service” they are well rewarded.
We are slaves. We may not want to admit it and most won’t think of it this way. Those who pay no taxes certainly don’t; they’re not slaves. We are chumps. Politicians steal almost a third of our money and we just quiver in our boots if we don’t pay enough to these leeches.
We’re so busy fussing over nothing burgers. Politicians like that. They supply the condiments and we just keep bowing to the tax god and we just pay and pay and pay. We’ve made that three-fifths compromise with our personal worth; we’ve devalued ourselves, we are just slaves to the state.
